AMERGINT is seeking a component engineer with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) experience, a passion for learning, and strong attention to detail. In this important role, you will be the liaison between engineering, production, sales, and finance, utilizing Deltek Costpoint to facilitate Bills of Materials (BOMs), Sales Orders (SOs), and Manufacturing Orders (MOs). This position will be located in our Colorado Springs, CO office.

Core Responsibilities

  • Work with engineers to create and release part numbers in the Deltek Costpoint ERP/MRP system
  • Work with engineers to create, migrate, and release engineering Bills of Materials (EBOMs) and Manufacturing (production) Bills of Materials (MBOMs) in the Costpoint ERP/MRP system
  • Create Routings (electronic traceability/accountability) for all integrated assemblies on the production floor
  • Work with finance and project management personnel to create SOs in Costpoint, driving demand into the system to satisfy customer requirements from their POs
  • Work with engineers to generate and release Engineering Change Orders/Notices (ECO/ECNs) for assemblies, when required
  • Work with planners when MBOM changes occur so that requirements are updated for open MOs

Required Skills

  • Associates or Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • 1-3 years of relevant industry experience
  • Technical understanding of company processes: Sales, Bill of Materials, Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, and Receiving, in an Engineering environment
  • Understanding of electronic industry component terms: PCBA, Resistors, Capacitors, Integrated Circuits, and other components
  • Attention to detail and consistency in data entry
  • Previous MRP/ERP and/or database experience
  • Good communication skills, technically oriented, self-starter, and highly motivated
