Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist

AMERGINT is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to maintain our excellent reputation for meticulous production quality and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is an exceptionally organized, methodical professional with the experience necessary to become the AMERGINT QA Specialist. You will be charged with maintaining the existing QA program and expand the program when customer needs and AMERGINT management deem it necessary. The ability to be agile and manage numerous tasks is essential. We are looking for a professional that not only safeguards the quality of our products, but also maintains our “quality culture,” in which all employees are actively engaged in guaranteeing quality throughout our products’ lifecycle. The AMERGINT QA Specialist also ensures customer satisfaction in AMERGINT products and services by providing outstanding customer support.

Objectives of this Role

  • Interpret, improve upon, and comply with company quality assurance standards
  • Monitor industry and aerospace quality assurance and related standards as they are revised, and work with management to determine if AMERGINT should adopt the revised standards
  • Carefully maintain corrective action requests and nonconformance processing through records and tracking systems, including root cause and corrective actions
  • Document quality assurance activities with internal reporting, meetings, and audits
  • Develop new processes for production and design when required, with improvements as needed, and create documentation that captures these processes with program managers and engineers
  • Identify training needs and take action to ensure company-wide compliance
  • Review and comment on quality assurance requirements from our customers (for RFQs and RFPs)
  • Answer customers’ quality audits and quality assurance questionnaires
  • Attend in-person audits and inspections by customers and act as liaison for AMERGINT
  • Maintain and manage our hardcopy and softcopy records and make updates when required
  • Provide customer support when required by phone, email, and written correspondence

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and oversee inspection and testing of incoming and outgoing product to confirm quality conformance to specifications and quality deliverables
  • Analyze and investigate product complaints or reported quality issues to ensure closure in accordance with company guidelines, adopted standards, contracts, and external regulatory requirements
  • Develop or update company non-compliance and inspection procedures to ensure capture and investigation, as well as proper documentation of non-compliances
  • Provide training and support to quality assurance team on systems, policies, procedures, and core processes
  • Ensure proper ESD controls are in place and that our process is being followed
  • Manage the AT Way Quality Assurance Manual
  • Manage test equipment inventory, calibration, and repair activities. Support engineers when new test equipment is needed.
  • Maintain the AMERGINT FOE/FOD Program
  • Ensure compliance with banned/disallowed materials and vendors
  • Maintain compliance with conflict minerals program, DFARS, NIST, and other contractually identified quality requirements
  • Manage RMA activities for the management of repairs, loaned property, and borrowed equipment
  • Understand DCMA Property management requirements
  • Manage AMERGINT’s library of standards and quality assurance reference materials

Bring These Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
  • Professional certification, such as Quality Engineer, or Quality Auditor or 5+ years of experience
  • Superb computer competence: including database usage, word processing, creating and using spreadsheets, creating and giving presentations
  • Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools
  • Working knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, AS9003, and Military Standards
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of testing best practices, version control practices and defect management practice
