AMERGINT is seeking a Senior Business Development (Sr. BD) Analyst who will be responsible for performing market research and analysis used to inform strategy. The Sr. BD Analyst is a curious self-starter that will perform research to fully characterize the market space within AMERGINT Technologies core and adjacencies in the satellite and launch communication domain. As our organization continues to grow, the Sr. BD Analyst will analyze data, identify important trends or patterns, and provide analytical insights into our markets, customers, competition, end users and partners. Their analysis and inputs will directly influence capture campaigns, technology roadmaps, and the strategic direction of the company.  The Sr. BD Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Business Development, Program Management, Engineering, and Finance in support of major capture campaigns as well as provide inputs to the strategic plan.

This position will be located in our Colorado Springs or Denver, CO office.

Core Responsibilities

  • Characterize and analyze satellite communication and launch communication markets
  • Provide analytical insights into customer budgets, buying behaviors, trends, budgets, and schedules
  • Leverage industry knowledge, competitive benchmarking, commercial databases, and internal competitive intelligence to prepare market, customer, and competitor assessments with business implications and actionable recommendations
  • Attend industry events, conferences, summits, and symposiums to maintain cognizance of customer needs and hard problems and industry capabilities
  • Identify key industry partnerships to maximize new business growth
  • Work closely with the Capture Manager and lead all Competitive Intelligence Reviews; support all necessary Capture Team reviews
  • Work closely with Business Development to develop strategic and tactical multi-level customer engagement plans addressing both short- and long-term growth
  • Work closely with Business Development and provide inputs to the development of the AMERGINT strategic plan
  • Collaborate with Engineering Team to provide inputs to technology roadmaps & related Internal Research & Development (IRAD) projects to create discriminators necessary to develop new business

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years related experience
  • Minimum of 5 years demonstrated market research and competitive intelligence experience
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and ability to influence individuals and teams to drive results
  • Must understand the Department of Defense (DoD) and/or Intelligence community (IC) procurement process, the entire capture cycle, the various contract types, and have experience working on proposals and with capture teams
  • Experience analyzing government buying trends and budgets
  • Possess a unique blend of technical, business, and strategic thinking skills with ability to successfully translate technical capability to customer solutions
  • Must have a passion for solving our customers most difficult challenges
  • Must possess excellent communication to present and defend his/her concise analysis and recommendations to capture team members and senior leadership
  • Must be available to travel as necessary
  • May need to obtain and maintain a security clearance for this position

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with satellite and launch communications domain

  • Demonstrated market analysis experience and knowledge of major space prime contractors and commercial sat providers and the competitive landscape
  • Master communication skills; ability to translate between internal language and that of the customer environment
